Want to start EB2 process with new employer. New employer agreed for that.
One quick question to you. Initially I thought of continuing my existing Eb3 processing and so I took the offer letter with same job title as my job title with my old employer. And I thought that will help in applying AC21.
But when I asked my new employer about processing in EB2, they simply agreed for that. So, having the same job title in old(EB3) job title and my new(EB2) is going to be an issue for new EB2 process or should they change my Job title for EB2 processing ?
I appreciate your answer on this.

This is what i interprate from Q5 / Q6 in the recently released USCIS FAQ
What i meant was that USCIS annoucement related to the wrong service center forwarding I-485 application to the right service center was meant for applications received between July 2 - Aug 17 and not just July 17 - Aug 17?
The way I interprate it as any I-485 employement based applications or derivative spouse application's received by VSC or CSC between July 2nd and Aug 17 2007 will be forwarded to NSC or TSC (where ever the parent application is residing). The receipt date would be the date received by VSC or CSC and the notice date would be the date recipted by TSC / NSC.

my friend filed on 2/10/2011, he got the AP documents yesterday, 68 days, (online status still says "Initial Review"), he applied "paper filing" , not electronic at Texas, looks like electronic filing is taking time than "paper filing"
my case:
Filing method: Electronic
Receipt Date: 2/7/2011
Status: waiting
number of days past: 72 days

I worked for a desi consulting company "A" based in Minneapolis from Dec 07 to March 08. I recently joined company "B" by giving one month notice to company "A" as per the conditions specified in the offer letter. But when I asked for my last two months pay,he is refusing to pay my salary(which is more than $10,000). The reason he said for not paying the salary was that I didn't inform the client about my departure.But for that, I got a letter from the cilent saying that I did inform them and I completed my job as per their satisfaction. Even after this , he is not paying my salary. He didn't incur even a single penny to employ me because I paid $3000 for processing my H1.
Please advice me what can I do to get my salary.

I was undecided too until I heard my blood sucking attorney asking for $2700 for filing 485 + EAD for myself and wifey. That helped me making up my mind and after going through the forms and looking at the help available I think I can do it.

1. In TX Serv Center, how many days is it taking recently to get the EAD renewed.
2. How many years are they giving it for.
3. By any bad luck, is 1-year EAD still a possibility
4. I have the 2nd EAD currently which got renewed for 1 year Last June.

SEC. 751. NONCITIZEN MEMBERSHIP IN THE ARMED FORCES.
Section 329 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1440) is amended--
(1) in subsection (b), by striking `subsection (a)' and inserting `subsection (a) and (d)'; and
(2) by adding at the end the following:
`(d) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, except for provisions relating to revocation of citizenship under subsection (c), individuals who are not United States citizens shall not be denied the opportunity to apply for membership in the United States Armed Forces. Such individuals who become active duty members of the United States Armed Forces shall, consistent with subsections (a) through (e) and with the approval of their chain of command, be granted United States citizenship after performing at least 2 years of honorable and satisfactory service on active duty. Not later than 90 days after such requirements are met with respect to an individual, such individual shall be granted United States citizenship.
`(e) An alien described in subsection (d) shall be naturalized without regard to the requirements of title III of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1401 et seq.) and any other requirements, processes, or procedures of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, if the alien--
`(1) filed an application for naturalization in accordance with such procedures to carry out this section as may be established by regulation by the Secretary of Homeland Security or the Secretary of Defense;

If you go for someone else, then go for someone that can provide you a SAP client logon access for practice for few months after the training.

such admin posers should be banned but why are u posting such political opinions anyways this is not a forum to discuss politics it is to discuss immigration policy issues and problems.
even if u remain anonymous your comments will be posted on a public forum which is created for a certain purpose and you might undermine its effort.
i think it is time to recognize that being such a small minority with above average economic status every single of us is representing the whole community. both parties agree on immigration reform which will help us. the only major opposition to our cause is from few groups posing to represent american technology professionals. whether ur ideaology is liberal or conservative is of no importance to immigration matters.
i see lot of posts of all kinds even for ICICI bank!! but political comments are a PR nightmare.
IV can put a disclaimer that whatever is posted in forums is not its own opinion but ur doing a damage to IV check out opinions of dailykos and other liberal blogs they are not taken kindly by conservative media. go discuss politics on politics blogs.
as far as guys giving red dots i think they are not being sincere about their own actions.

All cases filed in July will not be accepted for filing, but will be held by CIS, as evidence for the pending litigation, which could put those who were filed, or have been filing anyway during July, in a bad place -- their cases could be held for the duration of the litigation. Federal litigation can take a very long time, which is why I question anyone who advocates litigation in such a situation -- it can backfire quite easily, and cause a much longer delay than to just let the numbers retrogress and then get filed when the priority dates become current. This current situation is no different than any other sort of situation where you might think you have something, only don't wind up getting it, at least not when you thought you would. It seems bad advice, at least from my perspective so far, to advocate strongly about trying to force the government to allow filing, since there is apparently nothing they can give.

I just thought, if we all dress up formally and carry an item which reflects who we are and why we are in US. It should reflect the high skilled people we represent:
1. Computer Engineers can carry laptops
2. Doctors can dress in there uniform.
3. Nurses can do the same.
etc etc.
It'd good for the cameras, press and average citizens looking at us.
I was wondering what those cooks and waiters in Desi Restaurants will wear, what would my grocer would wear? Dhoti and Baniyan? IF they care to join US?
