I would like to become a US citizen one day. The US was built on the backs of people that against all odds, fought to make this the country the way it is, using every opportunity that was given to them. For some of the repliers on this tread, you don't deserve to be a US citizen.

Can you please elaborate, how can he apply for Green Card on EB1 category without even waiting for H1B to L1A COS approval?
In order for applying in EB1 multinational executive, doesn't he has to be in L1 status?
The employee may already be in the United States in a nonimmigrant visa status such as the L1A visa or one of the E visa classifications.

The most funniest and saddest thing I saw were folks on Medicare and unemployment fighting against the so called government takeover of the health care system.
Between the Republicans (Do nothing) and Democrats (We are scared to lose the election), we are the ones that are getting screwed. :-(

totally agree with you..... these guys have such a shallow message & objective.... and they repeat it over and over again in the forth but most powerful branch of government - media.... when democracy was first born, in the earlier years there was this fear that people will not be aware of how or whom to vote for.... & the concept of media was created that media will keep everyone informed creating awareness about how to vote on issues and governments....
it has all come down to the do nothing republicans v/s scared to lose democrats who continue to go down in the media positioning to screw up lives of everyone .... & in this back and forth, the dumbest guy always wins the election to screw it up what is left of it....
i mean just look at this.... can it get any more dumb than "amnesty by executive order"....

How it will be verified with SOC code mentioned in the AC21 with the new employer (where you take a new job). If Employer issue a letter with the job description you are looking for - I guess we should be good. Any thoughts?

Yeah you guys are right.. In fact it is not at all unjust how USCIS is treating our PR applications, neither do we have any rights to demand for faster processing and transparency in the way USCIS work or that the money spent on application fees are not service charges. I totally agree that we deserve the crap we are being melted out by USCIS. Let us keep waiting till our destiny unfolds before us.

Wish I knew this was an option. My current EAD valid for 1 year expires on Oct 10th. I am maintaining my H1 status. Does anyone think I can trying calling customer service and go that route to see if they retrigger my ead application and issue me a year extension? By the way what number do you call to inquire about this?

Write a strong Invitation letter saying that there is a chance of you going back to India for Good and its your wish to show your parents USA Once.
And also let your parents say the same reason at consulate.
Also take a letter from you employer saying that you are planning to get your parents here for Tourism purpose only.
Ask them to show all properties bank account and your property in India and let they say when my children are planning to come back what we will do there. I,e there main intention is tourism and spend time with there son/daughter. If they have grandson/daughter also they can specify. (for questions like what is the guarantee that they will come back)
Some times consulate gives high value for such letters and answers.
Try till you succeed. Just keep encouraging your parents. I know this is frustrating but no other go.

That's not the whole story though. The unemployment in people with a bachelor's degree or higher (as required for H1Bs) is just over a million or just 2.3%. See Here (http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t04.htm). Out of this million, I am sure very few people can attribute their unemployment to H1Bs. We should try to find data about the fields of work where these million unemployed people are. 2.3% is very very low unemployment as it is.
I posted several messages regarding the SKILL Bill already but I don't think it has caught the attention of IV Core yet.

Thanks for your replies everybody. My labor got declined on Dec 10, 2009 and I was notified on Jan, 20,2010. By the time they notify me, 30 calendar days are already passed. So I cannot apply for motion to refile.

I know a few good friends (GC or citizens) who will be willing to do anything to help me - they were once in the same boat and/or have seen their close friends suffer with pathetic priority dates, layoffs etc.
However, lets face it - we can't expect active participation from them - in terms of logging into IV and looking at action items. What we can expect is prompt action if an IV member (like you or me) approaches them with very specific action items. We have to do the groundwork - for example, if the action item is to send a letter to your local senator, we have to take our friends' zipcodes, find the senators and let them know the specifics - where to send, what to send.
I am all for this. I am sure everyone has a few friends who recently got their GC, or received it many years ago in the good old times and are now citizens, or relatives in another state.

I assume that all the EB2 India who have decided to go for CP route will get their immigrant visas stamped in India. I noticed that New Delhi and Mumbai consulates posts a list of candidates due for immigrant visa interview at their website by the middle of the month. May be this list can give us an idea as to how many EB2 India will get their GC through consular posts:
