Sukekha.com is the most visited website for INDIANS in NORTHEAST....for all classifields. Would it be very expensive to put up some banners in LEADING indian websites where lot of INDIAN IT people visit.

My PD is April 2002 which has become current as per the june bulletin. My I-140 was approved in April 2007 and the NVC created the case on May 15th 2007.
I have opted for consular proceesing.
My questions is at what stage of the further processing do i get a visa number allocated ?
Is it when NVC sends the fee receipt to my attorney or is it when the case is transferred to the consulate ?
I just want to know at what stage now i become insulated from any possible retrogression in the coming months.
Any help much appreciated

what do you mean by fake pay stubs, can you please clarify.

I don't see it either. If this is to be trusted, how come 485 dates moved only by 3 days for NSC? It was July 11th 2007 for the month of April

Unless all of the 10,000 immigrants are going to bring money from their respective countries to buy homes, it is not going to change anything signficantly. You are proposing to take the money that is in the system, i.e asking banks to lend you money. The current crisis is credit crunch. Banks dont have money. All they have is mortgage bonds. There are no takers of these bonds. They are becoming junk. So, if any money from outside flows in, there will be some difference.
I have listened to a couple of speaches by Bernake in NPR. Basically that guy is completely in the blank on how to handle the economy. He simply says, we are in this mess, because the lenders were very lenient. Fed measures such as interest rate cut and pumping money into the banking system is causing the dollar to fall thus further weakening the economy.
I say, we all write to Bernake that some 10, 000 immigrants will buy homes if we all get a GC. 10, 000 may or may not buy a home, but let us just polish the numbers a little bit. 10,000 * 300,000 (average home price) = 1 million billion dollars . Actually the total figure is 3 billion $$; enough to give a massive jolt to the sagging economy. I think we should also write to Wall Street journal and all major news paper organizations about this.

Candidate leaves sponsoring employer and joins another employer (similar position/salary, etc.) New employer's attorneys send the AC21 letter and G-28 forms to the USCIS. The attorneys are very familiar with this, have handled lots of AC21 cases (Fragomen).
Is there any way the candidate can call USCIS customer service and ask for the attorney/representative's name on file, just to make sure that the G28 did get processed and the attorney name on file got changed from the old law firm to the new one? Would customer service share that information with the candidate?

G 28 is like any other form like 485 or EAD or AP etc... so if your 485 and 140 and h1b everything gets filed properly why do you think g 28 does not get filed properly?
Try to be very pleasing and polite to a CS rep or a VO and try to get the info, they may let you know your Attorney on file.

One should start a business and have some source of income that can pay
for mortgage than budgetting within your monthly salary.

I hope you get in time before your EAD expires. My EAD was expiring on 09/24 and my employer submitted on June 24 (no efiling) & RD dt June 24; Got my EAD approval email on 07/28 and card received on 08/01/2008; but renewed EAD runs from 7/30 - 7/29/2010; I did not mind the disappearance of 2 months. Yes, I agree - my experience has been the same. The customer service representative insisted the receive date was whatever showed up in the online status, even though it was ~45 days after the receipt date printed on my receipt notice.
Btw, I have a question about background/namecheck. I remember reading someplace (official) that fingerprints are valid for a period of 15 months. Now imagine this - at the end of that period, you are fingerprinted again, and while the background/namecheck is in progress the "annual lottery" period opens up in Jul/Aug/Sept. Is that file skipped again since background check is pending?
Regardless of what laws USCIS vouches for, I believe this is what happened during last year "lottery season" in Aug/Sept. My background check was completed and entered in the system mid-Aug., while the USCIS ran out of visa numbers a week or two later.
Anything is possible my friend. We are only trying to understand (from remote) what may be happening. No one there really has any well defined method to manage cases. Their annual report tells how many cases were processed, and how many visas were given away. There is nothing to vouch on this report if it was done in any genuine and sensible sequence. Monthly published processing dates, as we all know, are approximate. They are not updated regularly as no one really knows how to determine those dates (Extremes "no one before this date is pending" and "at least one case with this date has been processed, may differ by several months/years?).
