Hello H1b Guy,
I am sorry for the situation you are in. The employer should be punished. Let me ask you:
1. do you have any email correspondance with the employer asking you pay for h1b fee?
2. if you don't then pose him a question using office email something like "how much is still pending on my h1b fee that i owe you (replace you)". Address this to HR or Payroll or the boss it self. Wait for the reply, and then take copy of it for record purpose.
3. if '2' does not work then wire tapping is way to go:

As per the law in New Jersy, one party should be notified and if you are recording you conversation, you are the one party and the other do not have to be notified. Are you using voip in the office? if so use wireshark to record the conversation. If not then there are devices available outside for cheap to do it.
I am not a lawyer, please do some more research and then find a way. If you really want to trap these type of guys there are tons of legal ways to do it. Hope, this helps. Take care. All the best.

I am sure the jury will say that you are not guilty if your wife supports your side of the story. Remember, the verdict should be unanimous. So go for jury trial and request a court interpreter to make sure there is no language barrier.

Not that you know , you should have bought it before or you should have done through research before wasting others time.
I have 7 polices with LIC in India, One 700k term life with prudential and 300k whole life for my wife, but whole life in US Prudential is bad experience with one of well known company then done research on this topic. Whole life insurance policy all over the world has surrender charges(including LIC in India). you would not get full benefit if you do not complete 10/20/30 years term on your policy,you would get part of your money and loosing a lot.

I am assuming that you have gone to school and taken some exams/tests. Did you study during your exams/tests or did you study and prepare before your tests?
After doing all this "very important" discussion about Rs/$ conversion, if you get sometime, please read some news about immigration bill to find out that there is lot of activity going on with the immigration bill. Most of the time anti-immigrats are calling and putting pressure on lawmakers who support any sort of immigration bill. That is why McCain, Brownback and many others backed out. Anti-immigrants are working overytime making it look like as if their opinion is the opinion of the entire nation. Each person is making 20-30 phone calls a week. But it is ok if none of us is doing anything. Lets all "time pass" and have this very important discussion about Rs/$ eachange rate variation... right?
Communities/groups/societies who do not understand the need to organize and standup for themselves always perish. Durbin-Grassley bill is just the beginning of the time for this high skilled immigrant community to disappear. Reason - When any group of people increases in number there is always another group which becomes its natural opponent/adversary. This community of over a million people also have very powerful opponent/adversary. That opponent is gaining strength and working overtime to purge all of us. But that is ok, let us talk about Rs/$ conversion rate. Anybody here from Uruguay or Morocco??? Why don’t people from Uruguay or Morocco and all other countries of the world join us in this VERY VERY important discussion about the recent exchange rate variation of Indian Rs/$. Way back in virginia I was arrested for shoplifting. I pleaded guilty and served out my punishment. I was ordered some hours of community service. After that I have traveled to india multiple times with no issues. So you should be all right.

Thanks just4gc for giving me the coveted vdlrao post. I must say the ages spent analysing Visa bulletins statistics and congressional testimonials of Charles Oppenhiem have finally borne fruit ;).
I guess Illusions beat me to the prediction. I must confess I havent spent a lot of time looking at Eb3 ROW. But even then I was surprised when it stayed at May 05 for as long as it did. The Backlog Reduction Centre stuck labor, the horizontal spillover, the Eb2 India backlog are few factors for why I was surprised.
I would say dont lose hope on Eb3 ROW, but until Eb2 India backlog stays it will be slow movement except as illusions pointed out in july 09. Last VB mentioned 60% of the demand recieved is before jan 2004. Thats pointing to the older BRC cases which are now seeing the end of the tunnel. fingers crossed.

I would say dont lose hope on Eb3 ROW, but until Eb2 India backlog stays it will be slow movement except as illusions pointed out in july 09. Last VB mentioned 60% of the demand recieved is before jan 2004. Thats pointing to the older BRC cases which are now seeing the end of the tunnel. fingers crossed.

I'm confused about the way the spill over works. Does it not go from EB1-ROW => EB2-ROW => EB3-ROW? Your post suggests that EB2-I gets the ROW spill overs before EB3-ROW. Is this the way it works? Sorry for the questions as I'm trying to understand how this works. Thanks for your response.

I have seen it happening a lot of times. You would not believe, I have seen management floating dummy projects, just to burn left over money so that they can claim the same amount next year. If they do not burn the cash, it would be hard for management to secure the same amount of budget very next year. You know, Sanju is so true! I have even seen management "encouraging" consultants to do over time. That way, consulting companies get more cash and hiring managers get paid "vacation(s)" somewhere near South Africa or Peru or Rio! Sanju - Well said, felt like something that I have seen at my client's location.

But for some reason Dems are not supporting any legal immigrants provisions including Hillary and Obama.. they are trying to become champion for the Illegals...So unless they have Dems support nothign can be done ...

Franklin got her gc. She is still such a motivated member. IV is fortunate to have her. I didn't intend to defend her, she is more than capable to do that on her own. Just wanted to add this information because that makes a sea change in raising the level of conversation on this thread.
The contrast is amazing, people who are stuck in the system are not as involved, while members like Franklin and Aman, who have came out of the "limbo" still want to help others.
Now I am more shocked than ever at her level of energy at the rally (which I personally witnessed) I am sure she has been doing a lot more behind the scenes as well.
Those who have done nothing but visit this site, need to look at folks like this and get some motivation and step up to the plate.
