It's not okay.. and if it does come out.. you are in deep doo-doo..
How will it come out..? well unexplained transfers from India to USA don't happen without someone watching over them in this day and age..
Maybe nothing will happen.. maybe you will be one of the unlucky ones where FBI check...

which could only mean that there could be significant date movements but not as many approvals. Good for people to file their I-485s and for CIS to make more money; bad for all of us suckers waiting. :D
But i think USCIS has already given the list of pre adj cases to DOS so dates becoming current may not be possible .....Its still "MAY NOT "
I think its just a type error and a digit missing in the list it happens :)

I know, please check with Dada Kondke. I like one of his titles from 1985 (Andheri Ra......................).
Greetings. I am new to this forum and hope I can gain more insight on an issue of concern for me.
Sadly, I have a cousin who is concerned about his wife losing her green card at any time in the future. She apparently married her uncle and got a green card. She then petitioned her mother to come. She has since become naturalized. Now here is the catch.
Her uncle original came under petition from his mother (her grandmother). I already stated that she petitioned her mother. However, when her mother received the visa, she had to fill out paperwork and listed her mothers name.
I am surprised the immigration process didn't hit a snag with a cross-reference hit. If her mother listed her own mother on the paperwork and she married her uncle who was brought by the grandmother, shouldn't immigration have discovered this discrepency?
My ultimate question is as follows. What are the chances immigration will do a post-naturalization audit. I don't even know if immigration does audits on anykind of frequent basis. I imagine with the staff shortages, there just wouldn't be the man-power to go back and check people who have already gained green cards and naturalization for that matter. Or maybe perhaps as immigration updates their cross-reference programs that they might review all past cases for possible snags.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I posted 2 messages under 'Members in Ohio' thread asking for contact information to join IV members from Columbus, Ohio but nobody has responded so far. Does the IV administrators' group maintain some kind of contact info and planned meeting dates for the state chapters that a new IV volunteer can look up and make efforts to join? I am eager to know what are the current activities led by our local chapter so that I can volunteer to do as much as possible by me.
I will greatly appreciate it if someone can reply back and direct new IV members to the correct contacts. If there is no active state chapter in our area, I am willing to work to initiate such a process in our local area.
Please reply back.
Thanks!

One of the IV members contacted me today about his/her 485 denial (happened yesterday) because of employer revoked the 140. Folks who are assuming that its not that common issue, please rethink. Its getting rampant now a days. So please please participate in this campaign and send the letters. Also, if you or any of your acquanitances are affected, please send me/itisnotfunny/nk2006/chanduv23 a PM.

The reason I wrote my first post is, now USCIS/DOS has made people stupid from just being fearful. I traveled to India last year. At least 4-5 friend's references has called me since to find out what they should carry with them. One person asked me, 'should we carry the copies of I-485 pending application ?', I felt like puking at that question ? Instead of asking me, why not just carry it ? you are going to carry it anyway, and my 'yes' or 'no' is not going to change your decision to carry it, and I am sure if possible you'll carry your great grand father's uncle's Birth Certificate. I think it is just how frustrated all of us(including me) are because of this f...ing green card, travel, work permit etc. sorry if I hurt anybody...

No one can guarantee. We ourselves cannot guarantee if we will have our next breath and survive the next second!!
Even President Bush cannot guarantee the success of CIR. Tech lobby has been trying for H1B for past several years but have failed. We are the only grassroots national organization solely working for the interests of legal high skilled immigrant GC issues. If we dont do anything ourselves, then we can only hope others will do something for us some day. Each other advocay group has their own central agenda and they will be focussed on it when it comes to getting their provisions passed. Its upto each one of us how much we believe in ourselves to enable a change that will greatly improve our professional and personal lives. IV core and several thousand active IV members have that confidence and thus are working hard and contributing.
The choice is yours.

Hey guys,
I am new to all this completely. So please do help me out. I am sorry if it is a repost..
My Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Eng
Masters Degree in Computer Science
Nationality: India
Experience: 6 months (don't have docs to prove it though now..)
I would like to file my GC under EB2.
As per my little internet knowledge, is it true that for base requirements under EB2 are - MS + 0 years exp (Please correct me if i am wrong here) ???
I know one has to also prove that the job requires a MS degree ?? How can a lawyer suffice that requirement ?? Does 1 have to specify all latest hi-fi technologies for that in form ETA-750 #15 ??
Are there any other requirements of applying under EB2 like jobzone or sth else ??
So to apply under EB2 one should belong to O*Net JobZone 5, since i am comp eng/software developer i belong to category of O*Net JobZone 4.
So for applying EB2 under O*Net JobZone 4, do i have to show some experience related to that field/job ?? (Really confused about this one) ????
So say for example, I would be applying under :
OES/SOC Title: Computer Software Engineers, Applications
Level 1 Wage: $30.42 hour - $63,274 year
Level 2 Wage: $37.60 hour - $78,208 year
Level 3 Wage: $44.79 hour - $93,163 year
Level 4 Wage: $51.97 hour - $108,098 year
GeoLevel: 1
15-1031.00 Computer Software Engineers, Applications
Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
O*Net JobZone: 4
Education & Training Code: 5-Bachelor's degree
So when i apply under JobZone 4(looks like it is a Bachelors degree level zone) for EB2, what should be my minimum level of wage as per PWD?
I heard it should be a minimum of level 2, is it true ????????
Please do try to answer my queries.. I am already late.. It would be a gr8 help.. Thank youu
Thanks,

Rockford,
Do not try to rock the ford. Those apologies were against the latest screwed up By Greg's block. He mistakenly published Agust 2006 visa bulletin as August 2007 bulletin a while ago.
That was what I was pointing out. Every body is anxious , nervous and jumping the gun.

Hi Admin,
Just a curious question. I have master's in Software Engineering and have 3 Yrs experience in US. But I have 2 Yrs on L1 and 1 Yr on H1. Will this come under STEM , meaning can this be applied under STEM since I was working in the related field all these 3 years.
Any thoughts is highly appreciated....

Month --- Visa Bulletin Cutoff date
April-07 --- 01-Aug-02
May-07 --- 01-Aug-03
June-07 --- 01-Jun-05
July-07 --- Current
So from May through July for 3 months, "Aug 2003 cutoff date" was current, and June through July "Jun 2005 cutoff date" was current and in July ofcause everybody was current. I guess it is safe to assume that every one who had their cases (I-485/CP) approved got their GC during this time (part of the 60K that USCIS processed during July/Aug).
So cases that were approved since the July fiasco are the ones that are waiting in the pipeline for Dec Visa numbers, that shouldn't be that many.
That is why I think that in Dec it should move to somewhere in Mid 2003 or even beyond.
That is what I think
Yes, looking at April 07 - July 07 looks VERY rosy for EB3 ROW. Try looking at the previous 2 years or so. Not so rosy.
I'll give you a summary.

To me that looks pretty dire, and very similar sort of issues to every other problem category.
Notwithstanding the well documented issues with rapid PD current fluctuations, nothing looks good.
