Rates for consultants have definately come down just because there are a lot of folks available but I thought SAP consultants are still getting good pay. SAP Compliance Analysts in the Life Sciences sector are definately getting paid reasonable well but the catch is understanding the Life Sciences regulatory Compliance maze and having experience. There are several good folks available in this market for a reasonable rate and/or pay scale.
I myself am a SAP Consultant with 10+ yrs experience. Pays are good when the market is good. FICO consultants are definitely well paid but the catch is you must have a working experience in any industry. For e.g. if you worked previously in an insurance company, then, you should know how typically the finances in the insurance company works. This is true for any module in SAP. If you worked in a manufacturing company, then, working in SAP Production Planning will be beneficial.
Your best bet in SAP would be BI. You need not know too much functional to get into BI..Problem is that bcoz of this, lots of ppl get into BI..

:mad::mad::mad::mad:It is amazing while people on group have started thinking about renewing EAD/AP. I,m still waiting for my EAD to come despite of calling customer service and visiting local USCIS office and getting SR generated.
I filed everything in july (I-140,$85,131,765) I have not received EAD yet.
After 60 Days of SR I received letter from USCIS saying
" After doing research on my case they found that my case needs further review and I should wait for 6 months before calling contacting uscis office"
My Question is
Is any one had similar experience? please post here or it is normal/common.
What next I can do ?

What do you need this Birth Certificate for ? If it is for GC purpose, you don't need a BC. You can give affidavits from your spouse's mother and close relatives as a proof of birth.
Not sure if you are aware, Lately, As a part of pre-adjudication of 485 apps, USCIS is sending out RFE for NABC to folks who provided Affidavits with original application (I-485).

answer is yes, cos, we got it done for my child. i think there is a small difference for the children that, they dont take finger prints of all the fingers, i think just the index finger.

When House Democrats last week passed the DREAM Act before the Senate had staged its vote, the timing was no accident.
Instead, the chronology was part of a carefully designed strategy � orchestrated, with some tension, between the two chambers � to grant the proposal its greatest shot at success. The fast-evolving process required behind-the-scenes scheduling changes; an eleventh-hour hearing; constant lobbying from supporters; and a risky-but-successful show of procedural gymnastics in the Senate � all aimed at lending momentum to the hot-button bill in hopes of enacting it by month's end.
In short, supporters say, the process has infused life into the policy.
"It actually gives us a chance to win," said Frank Sharry, executive director of America's Voice, an advocacy group lobbying for the bill.
Adey Fisseha, policy attorney for the National Immigration Law Center, echoed that message. "It makes it real, and it increases the pressure," Fisseha said. "They thought they had the votes. They wanted to lock it in. And they did."
Indeed, had the Senate voted first, the bill likely would have failed, and the House would have lost its appetite to stage a vote at all, according to both supporters and critics of the proposal.
" 'If it's not going to pass the Senate, then why should I vote for it?' " said a senior House Democratic aide, explaining how any number of centrists likely would have felt had the bill failed the Senate. "It would just give them another reason to vote against it."
Instead, with the help of many of those centrists, the House passed the bill Wednesday night 216-198, setting the stage for a Senate vote later in the month. For supporters, the result was even better than they'd hoped. Eight Republicans voted yes.
The surprising tally goes a long way toward explaining why Democratic supporters went to such pains to delay the Senate vote while at the same time pushing to expedite floor time in the House.
"We thought it could win, and we thought it would gain momentum," Sharry said. "And both came true."
But it didn't happen easily.
On Monday night, when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed for cloture on the bill, he set in motion a series of events � most choreographed out of the public's view � that few would have anticipated at the start of the week.
Though the plan all along was to stage the House vote first, it remained unclear if there was enough lower-chamber support to pass the bill. When House members returned to Washington on Tuesday, about 20 of the most ardent DREAM Act supporters gathered that evening in a small room in the Rayburn office building near the Capitol, according to a Democratic staffer familiar with the meeting. The group pored over lists of on-the-fence lawmakers, searching for discrepancies between statements from those members to leadership versus commitments they'd made to proponents lobbying the bill.
Because the DREAM Act is a tough vote for members representing conservative-leaning districts, there was a sense among supporters that some centrists were telling Democratic leadership they'd oppose the bill � in hopes a poor whip count would dissuade a floor vote � while indicating otherwise to proponents.
The DREAM Act's informal whip team has included a number of members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) � notably Reps. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) and Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.) � as well as a long list of Democrats not affiliated with the group. Among them are Reps. Anthony Weiner (N.Y.), Joseph Crowley (N.Y.), Yvette Clarke (N.Y.), Maxine Waters (Calif.), Mike Honda (Calif.), Jared Polis (Colo.) and Howard Berman (Calif.), the lead sponsor of the bill.

Mine is on July 17th RD and I have not seen any movement (no LUDs, nothing)
There are a lot of people with those dates that are waiting. Either they overworked themselves and have not updated the database or this could be a typo. I would not be too surprised if they change it back after receiving a bunch of calls, saying what about mine???

Going by your logic, this is our "Future Anthem" and not the current.
GC and Citizenship are two different things and let's keep them separate lest we will end up confusing issues.
As many of us have not thought or made up our minds about citizenship, this only comes across as a form of appeasement, unless we are singing all the national anthems one after the other.
Choosing to sing or not to sing the Anthem is everyone's right. Even some Americans refuse to recite the Pledge of Alleigance. Yet, at IV we call ourselves what we are "Future Americans" and therefore this is our Anthem. Just like many of us are from India, China or elsewhere most Americans also have foreign ancestors and feel a closeness to those countries on some level. Yet, the idea here is to show respect for our new country, the country that we have adopted, and which has adopted us.
Americans appreciate people who come to America for true love of the country and wanting to assimilate and contribute to its greatness. Look at what the illegals did in their rallies carrying Mexican flags and translating the Anthem into Spanish, rightfully angering American citzens. This is our opportunity to understcore how totally different we are from illegals and how we have earned and deserve our green cards.
For those of you who are not ready to sing the Anthem as your own country's anthem, then perhaps you can sing it just as a show of respect for the country that has welcomed you. What do you guys think?

you hit the nail on the head. EB immigration touches very sensitive nerve directly correlating with jobs, nevermind majoirty of them already in the job market. Ofcourse spouses could come into job market.
On same logic FB immigration is throwing at least 500K new people in job market ( out of > 1 Mil FB). People like lou dobbs etc, cant or dont want to put 2 and 2 together.
It is very difficult to argue against FB based immigration. Not many people agree that husband and wife should be separate or children should be separated from parents.
So all the attention shifts to EB, which people think can be controlled. Sadly, they don't realize long term harm it would cause to economy. It's only matter of time, but hope its not too late!

I got an RFE too for both me and my wife (and we're not current either) ... wonder whats going on!
First of all, thanks for sharing the info! Some questions:
- When did they mail your RFE? (Mine was mailed on Oct 3 but havent recieved it yet)
- Did you receive it or did your lawyer recieve the RFE?
- Do you think a visa number has been assigned to your case or my case under Sept Bulletin?
- What do you think will happen after they recieve your response? Would they issue GCs or will they file the applications till your PD gets current again?
- Are you using a lawyer to respond to the RFE or are you doing it on your own?
- Would your lawyer charge for responding to RFE? (I'm under the impression that lawyer fees for RFEs are covered in the fees paid during 485 filing)

1) My 1-140 is approved(Approved on March 30th 2007 EB3)
2) I-485 is filed on July 27th(Have got receipt notice)
3) Have 3 yrs H1B extended recently till June 2010.
4) Application is only pending 3 months, and my employer may be thinking of laying by moving operations to India.
5)So, i may not have Job after Oct 31st from same employer so, I'm trying to find out what are the options available for me.
I have not applied for AP or EAD. I will be doing in this coming week.
Any input would be appreciated.

Your L1 status gets automatically changed to H1 if you continue to stay in US past Oct 1st.....But if you go out of the country and enter on L1 again, it over writes your H1 status.....Its the I-94 which dictates the status and not the visa stamp....Note that, when you want to change to H1, you will have to exit US, get H1 visa stamped and enter on H1 (I-94 should indicate H1 status)...What USCIS did when it approved your L1 to H1 Change of Status is that, it changed your current L1 I-94 to H1 starting Oct 1st...So to overwrite that, you need to exit and enter so you will get a new I-94 with L1 status and later H1 status when you enter again after getting H1 stamp...Hope this makes sense...

On a thankful note, My experience with Jean Martin has been very good. There was no hickup at any stage. Some of my friends were caught up with their employers who would either slow down the filings to retaing the employee for a longer period or negotiate harder. With such apprehensions I had pursued my GC process. Except for a few administrative delays here and there mine was a smooth sailing. My salary went from 60K 4 years back to over 150K at present. I had referred 3 of my friends so far who just got their I-140 filed.
As far as the "DOL audit", I did not receive any such notifications and 2 more of my friends even got their H1's approved in Feb' 08 !

Why is that ? I thought EAD & AP went hand in hand.
H1b will only be considered valid when its stamped (even if you enter on AP). If you dont have a valid stamped h1b then it will be considered abandoned...H1b is dual intent.
