Agreed it's frustrating to go thru a roller-coaster ride as far as GC is concerned. I believe members of IV are leaving no stone unturned to tide over the GC hurdles by speaking in one voice and acting in unison.
Literally, we must have the 'staying power' to do this. If people wanna go back to their home country, it's their personal decision. Impatience and frustration should not be the driving factor for people to return to their home country.

Seems as though every time there is a funding drive there are always people who come with questions that have been answered so many times before. In the state of Mass delivery is covered by the State provided you show you don't have insurance. Millions of single moms are delivering and many are teenagers and many are w/o any insurance. Delivery is considered an emergency and you will be covered. Keep your spirits up and bear the storm.....it always gets darkest before you see light again.

I don't know about mass but nothing is free in US. 911 is also not free. 911 bills big amount to the insurance company or sends you a bill if you don't have insurance. If one is not able to pay it it goes to the collection agency or state or charitable trust. All these features are free for Illegals. So better have insurance.
As per obama's new rule, the company will pay 2/3 of the insurance and you will have to pay 1/3 of the insurance. The company will get the amount back as tax credit. In california the laid off person has to pay $100 for insurance and the rest will be paid by the company.
Regarding EAD you are in Status and you can apply for disability insurance from the state. your husband can work in EAD.
Don't stress yourself. Layoff is common these days.

The core idea behind the proposal is that the state boundaries of middle east are unnatural, and it has given rise to artificial, nonviable and oppressive states. The only way to permanently solve the problems of islamic terrorism is to redraw the boundaries of the entire region.
The idea has been floating around on the Internet for a couple of years now. No wonder, the nationalities set to benefit from this proposal (Baluchis, Pakhtuns, Kurds, Shia Arabs etc) are enthusiastically rooting for it, while the ruling elites of the so called artificial states like Pakistan and Sunni Iraqis are adamantly against it. I have this doubt also.
If the priority dates are current in Visa Bullettin, the applications will be processed based on RD. If the dates are not current or unavailable, the applications will be processed based on PD. This is my understanding of the process.

Shirish has a very valid point. I think it should be six months after I-485 application as pointed in AC21.
I think the 6 months period should be counted fron the RD on the RN for you I-485, else AC21 and this " propoganda" contadict each other.
If you get your GC with in 6months from the RD then stay untill you finish 6 months (this is very unlikely to happen as it takes lot more than 6 months)
If you get the GC after 6 months i think you are fine.

(11/28/2007). The USCIS officer was not that friendly, but she promised to send an e-mail to main office. The very next day (11/29/2007)we had an update on website that EAD cards were ordered and we got it today. The date on the cards was 11/29/2007. It worked for us. It is really depends on the officer you speak with.
You are lucky , I did same thing on 11/8, no cards, no updates till now.
