I think you can ask your lawyer to draft an attidavit with the pertinent details as best your wife remember. Then your wife signs and notarizes the attidavit. Remeber, USCIS has all the records. They are just "too busy" to look through the old files in storage. You can also file a Freedom of Information Act requrest for a copy of the file, but it will take forever.
Talk to your lawyer and I believe you will find a way out.

Dude,
Not everyone has flexibility to file PERM in parallel. The big firms try to stick to the law (or I should say- avoid getting into trouble) and also don't want to go through the expenses (neither will they allow you to pay for it).
So there is hardly a choice. These big firms are so sick that they won't even allow you pay the premium processing fees (which the law allows) and neither will they do the premium processing for you. I have experienced it firsthand.
I am sure people who are still stuck in BEC had their reasons for not going for the PERM. And of course no one expected the dates to become current so soon...
Why did the BEC-Stuck employees and employers did not decide to go for
PERM as a safety cushion when the whole world was going with PERM?
Saving money? or Priority Date?
Even if it was done to save priority date, doing PERM in parallel was better option as 140 approval would have given them 3 year H1B extensions beyond 6th year.
I was stuck in BEC but still went for PERM.
And you never know when the priority dates would start moving.
Partially we ourselves are to blame if we are not able to file 485 now due to
stuck labor.

Are you sure about these approvals?
I checked Texas Processing Center website. It still shows September 11, 2006 for I-485. May be your friends meant receipt notices.
Two of my friends got their GC approved today..
GC number 1 ... PD 2003 May
GC number 2 ... PD 2004 April

Hi All
looks like my struggle for immigration is never ending. My lawyer shipped my app on July 30 and even as of today USPS track and confirm displays second attempt was made on July 31, and package will be held for five days. This put me in very worrying situation.
So I called USPS and they gave me local phone number for Mesquite office
972 288 4477. I called them today and talked they are saying that all the packages are delivered. I am not sure what to trust and what not to. I am not sure if my application is delivered or not though person at Mequite office told me so. Because USPS online status still says the second attempt was made on July 31 and then no update. If there is any way to contact USCIS and find out if they received the application or not.
Guys who are in the same situation as me please update your experienc. Alsso I have added phone number for Mequite office here, if somebody in my situation want to contact them.

I am planning on going to full time B-school in Fall 2009. I have fiollowing scenario
PD:- 16th June 2006 (EB2)
Labor Approved:- 26th Oct 2006.
I-140:- Filed with PP on 27th Dec 2006. Got approved 13th March 2007
I-485:- Filed on 3rd July 2007. Still in Pending
EAD:- Filed on 3rd July 2007. Got approved on 5th Oct 2007(one yr valid)
AP:- Filed on 3rd July 2007. Got approved on 17th Oct 2007(one yr valid)
H1-B Valid till May 2010.
Considering my situation.. and that I may have to resign from my current company.. so I have to give up my H1-B status too. I was wondering
1) If I could go to B-school on EAD??
2) Do I need to file AC21
3) Do you see any complication of my I-485/GC approval while I am in School and having plans to change my career all the way from IT to Finance after school..
4) Or any statergy which will help me play the same game between school and GC approval... Considering that I don't wanna give up my current I-485 application for F1

Yeah. The portion of the application that populates the menu does so via Microsoft UI Automation. For example, the Window menu in Blend dynamically populates itself as you open and close tabs in the editor. This menu would change to reflect that.

Best option I would say is..
1. Stick to your consulting employer. GC process can take years.. start-up life-cycle is 2-3 yrs.. after that either you will have moved on to bigger roles or idea is a bust .. in both cases you end up having to restart GC labor at least..
2. Get options if you can.. Or even ESOP if you believe in the prospects and future of the company and if it has good chance of being acquired or IPOed..

Thats why Bill Gates et all want more H1B quota...they want to increase H1B supply (they actually dont want GC relief) so that they can get top talent at low rate in US. with
the quota back at 65K, things improved a bit in some ways. Thats why
I am afraid of all these SKIL bill etc. At the last moment they might just pass
H1B increase with no green card relief making things horrible (it happened
in 2004 end)

And the law is same for everybody. You just cannot file 485 when an immediate visa number is not available to you (as per the visa bulletin). There is absolutely no confusion here.
So, only your daughter's applications says rejected. Your + wife's AOS application is "receipted". Am I correct? Since your daughter is a "derivative" applicant, can you not file any time even after August 17 since the primary application is pending? Experts, what say?

Yes but, with those countries there is a treaty where the reverse is also true. Those economies are strong and people can return with a lot of money, when a US citizen returns from there, his significant contributions there can also return with him. In the past pepole were more likely to make permanent moves into the US than the other way around, so the net flow of money was always into the USA. Reverse migration, Brain drain, Capital flight etc is a new thing to America!
To this day, the reason the US can sustain these massive deficits is because of massive currency inflows to the USA. Wealthy countries, Multinational corporations, Rich individuals, Immigrants etc all bring their assets/dividends to the USA over time. That has in the past covered massive trade deficits (about $70 billion monthly) and continues to do so. If that stops the US dollar is cooked.

We filed for My Son's EAD on 17th september to Texas SVC Center and today we received Physical card at home. This is a surprising experience.
The same kind of experience for AP. Today our APs got approved though original papers have not been received yet.
Is this normal work out time for EAD and APs for the USCIS or I just got lucky?
