Looks like quite some people struck in this situation. When I called TSC, the response I got was, case is not within the processing times. In that case, howcome they processed my case and most of the people getting all together.
As for as everything going good, there will be no problem. If there is any struckup, it is very difficult to work with CIS.
I am not sure how much Infopass going to help.

#1 - It is advisible to have your spouse name added to your password. I have seen instances for newly married couple, where the US consulate have refused to issue a nonimmigrant visa (under 221g) just because the spouse name not in the passport and submit the passport after the spouse name is added.
#2 - ECNR stands for Emigration Clearance Not Required, you will be able to obtain this if you have a education of 3 year Diploma and Higher. If you do not have ECNR, you will have to obtain clearance first before you travel otherwise in the immigration check the would not allow you board the plane.

I know the lawyers are supposed to be working for us etc but thats not the way it has worked between me and Fragomen so far. Sometimes they appear concerned and want to help answer your questions but generally they don't appear keen to go out of their way to help out. I will contact some lawyer though to find a way out if I can't find answers here.

All I-140 approved after May 2006 has A#s and yes you have to send your original I-140 when applying for 485.

I had applied for Canada PR on Dec 2007. i got latter from consulate saying to submit my and all family members passports to get stamp for Canada, so we can visit canada to get PR.
Q: Rightnow i'm in last months (8th) of Preganancy. Do you know if i send my passport now then for how long visa will be granted (visa stamp) in passport to visit Canada ?
Q: i'm thinking to go after delivering baby, so we can include new born too. I need to know procedure to include New Born too??

My situtation same as yours (without the GC :D). I will be traveling India this December. I have valid H1B (not stamped) and AP expiring on October. Do you recommend me to get H1B stamped in India and not worry about AP (in that way I can save money) and enter as H1B from India. What will happen if my GC gets approved when I am in India? Will I be able to enter with H1B without AP? Thanks.

Told the officer my situation - showed him H1 and the 485 approval print out from uscis website. He wanted to make me enter on a H1. I then showed him my AP, on which he said I had to go "downstairs". (I have had AP since september last year, had never used it earlier though I have had multiple trips since then. Preferred to use H1).
Went downstairs for secondary inspection. My 485 approval print out was not part of the "package" left on the officers desk by the escort.
When called by the officer, I showed him the print-out. The officer was a nice person - said "you're throwing so much stuff at me. You have a valid AP, a valid visa and now you say you have a GC too?". Anyway - he looked through the system - and said "yes, you are a permanent resident - congratulations !". Tore away the white I-94 form which I had filled just in case, stamped the passport with the date and wrote "LPR" where they usually write "H1B" and that was it. Took about 20 minutes out of which 15 minutes was waiting for the officer.
Hope this helps somebody.

if processing time dates are as per notice date, then i assume USCIS might have not entered all application during July 2007 before July 15 since they reversed the july 2007 bulletin. If they are processing by notice date , then how come they have processed earlier dates of July cases during last year for EB2 PD 2006 cases.

Here is the analysis of Employment Based Green Cards (EB GC) related clauses in Specter's markup of the Comprehensive Immigration Bill. This is not definitive. Only our opinion and subject to errors in judgement.
:) Remove applicants with certain Advanced degrees from the EB quota
Those with advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are taken out of the quota. But note the applicant must have worked in a related field in the US for 3 years prior to their application. So if you started working in Jan 2001 and applied for GC in Dec 2003, you are still in the quota and not outside of it. Could take out 20-50% of EB-2 applicants from quota.
I'm guessing this works the same way as it is currently in H1B visa quota.
How about someone who holds a Bachelors degree from India and has 3yrs of experience prior to their application?

i had a tough time getting appointment for my in-laws for visitor visa in delhi in hindi language. After looking for more than a month regularly from 6pm to 1am central time every night (every 5 mins) and from 5am to 8am central time every morning, when I did not find a single open slot for hindi, i took english language appointment finally last week on wednesday at 8.30pm central time. dates were available for july 28,29 and 30. since then i have been tracking dates for english appointment and i have seen dates for august 9,10,11,12,and 13 in english at new delhi almost every day around 8.20pm central time till 9.30pm central time.but till now, I have not seen a SINGLE hindi appointment slot at new delhi consulate!!
I don't think you will see any Hindi visa appointment dates available on VFS for Delhi/Mumbai, it just doesn't happen...If you call either they will tell you to keep looking...but the best & only way is to take an English appointment per their convenient, go there and ask for a Hindi interpreter..
Or should I say..when parents/in-laws will go to Delhi/Mumbai..they will have an option to ask for an interpreter..thats just how it works..all the best..

I have another I-140 under EB3 with PD of Aug 2002 that got approved on 7-23 same employer. I want to interfile this one so that I can use the earlier PD. The attorney advised me to wait for receipts. So the receipts are critical to me.

On one hand we want to hasten the GC process so that we can become citizens and enjoy all the freedom and benefits, and on the other hand, we are hesitant to sing the US national anthem?
Anyway, not everyone has to sing the anthem. I know the words but I find it too difficult to sing it anyway. But there is no harm in someone else singing it to show respect.
