Change.org (http://www.change.org/ideas/browse) (pick Immigration in the browse by cause box on the right side of the screen) is now actively voting on various ideas.
There are 3 ideas there, but none for our cause.
I am no pro on these, but may be we could get an idea inserted for our cause and get enough votes on it.

If your Husband's GC was approved and it was a straight forward case, yours should be approved also.
I would suggest taking an "infopass" and checking on the status of your case.

I think those bills will only be related to toughening border security n patrol..
Most likely...
But if we have a coordinated campaign to target the senators with letters/web faxes...who know we might be able to get some interim relief as part of the border security bills.
We should atleast try to recapture the visa's lost since 2000.
I for one am sending letters to both my senators. I read in one of the posts that sending letters via snail mail is ideal, along with basic info about your I140.
There is an excellent template of such letter in one of the media campaign thread.

According to the revised law, a law officer cannot approach any legal immigrant and ask for documents unless he is already questioning that person for some other offence
Hence I dont think u need to take the docs to an Ice cream shop, but a copy in the car or something wud suffice logically !!
Has anyone considered: In Arizona, what's going to happen to all of the immigrants who are there perfectly legally and are actually creating American jobs via the EB5 green card program? Will the be harassed? I say probably.

C# is a .NET language! C++, though, can either be .NET (managed) or unmanaged. You should clarify that with whatever job you are hoping to work on :)
The thing about .NET is that its main language is MSIL (Microsoft Intermediate Language). All of the .NET languages such as C#, VB, C++, etc. get squashed into MSIL.
I am utterly confused here. I see different jobs and stuff for .NET or c# or c++, etc. I thought they were all a part of .NET? Why for example, are the forums c# separated from c++, when they are both part of the same framework? I seriously can not wrap my head around this. If somebody says "I need some .NET work", are they referring to any language within .NET, like c# and c++? Please help me!

I have also been denied an H1b visa this year.. Though I had a strong IT background in a very sought after technology, I dont know what went wrong..
Did you re-appeal for it? How did it go? what is your status now.. i am eager to hear back from you as it would be help me know the process better..

i am in same situation. i applied for employment base in Dec 2004 and family based in May 2006 through my sister. Rightnow i'm on EAD and my sister based F4 category have priority Dec 2001.
You can apply in both category. when i was filing 485 (EB3), there is question if any other 485 petition is pending? The answer is "NO" even i have applied (I-130) under Family based GC. My lawyer said filing I-130 (for family based GC) is not consider as another petition (485) for GC. So it is ok to apply in both.

My personal suggestion : It's your personel descision, I think nobody on this forum can tell you anything in this matter. You are not in a soup like us. It's just you want to get all things in life at the same time without sacrificing anything ..... This may not work sir, to get you need to give. :)

Well, the first thing that I noticed was not the ceiling, but rather the cute little Shetland Sheepdog in the middle of the walkway. Of course, I love dogs (and especially Shelties)... ;)
I think if I stare at the image long enough, I can sometimes see the effect you're talking about, though it's not like that effect jumps out at me. IMHO, this picture is still a good study of geometric forms, whether or not it has issues with optical illusions. :)

If the exec is laid off, the dependent cannot continue working.
All beneficiaries of the petition must leave the US immediately.
I don't think there is any regulation that the employer needs to pay for relocation, but usually, they will provide you a one-way ticket back to your homecountry, but that will be the least of your worries.
Avoid working on L2 if you think the L1 sponsoring company is not trust-worthy or stable.
An L-1 work visa is issued to an executive of a company that has worked with his/her company outside of the USA for at least one year. Dependents receive L-2 visas and a spouse can apply for an EAD. Trouble is, if the exec is laid off, all of the dependant visas immediately expire and both the exec and his/her spouse must leave the USA!

As it sound to me It means PD of primary applicant will be the PD of spouse and child.
I did not follow.
Anyway this is the situation. I'm in EB3 with a PD Dec 2002. DH is in EB2 with a PD in 2006. Can he file I-485 for us using my PD according to the above law?

To all IV members and the core team:
Thanks a bunch for mobilizing members to get their voices heard - first at the historic San Jose rally of high-skilled legal immigrants, and now with this monumental effort in DC on September 18th.
Thanks to all your efforts (myself included), we were able to file for Adjustment of Status (AOS), EAD and AP in July, and had the extension till August 17th to file it for those of us who couldn't do it sooner.
Thanks also to the lawmaker(s), and others who voiced their opinions and drew attention to the plight of highly educated, skilled, tax-paying, brilliant, and entrepreneurial folks, waiting for their GCs for as long as a decade.
We finally received our EADs yesterday, and our APs have been approved (awaiting notices).
The road from here to finally becoming permanent residents and perhaps eventually citizens of this great country (for those of us who wish to) is a long, winding one, full of tricky situations, significant risks, and the inevitable delays by the agencies concerned.
We all need to collectively make our voices heard, tell the lawmakers, the media, and the world about our lives that we continue living in limbo, and will be forced to do so for a long long time if we don't act.
I WILL ENTHUSIASTICALLY JOIN THE DC RALLY NEXT WEEK.

How do you know that your case has been transferred from NSC to TSC.
Receipt has address of issuing office at the bottom of it. I also had nothing showing up in the system until yesterday, but today, our EAD's are in the system, but not I-485 or I-131. Perhaps EAD is considered a priority.

My company would like to send me France on business.
But My H1 visa expired Jan 2006.
I got H1 approval up 2009 but passport is not stamped.
My lawyer told me that I can go to Paris (France) and visa stamped.
I am not sure France consulate will issue me visa to enter France.
Any comments and any input?

In our 485 notices, Under the section, it is stated as Unknown. priority date is blank. Please let me know if anyone is facing similar situation and what needs to be done to correct it?
